OBJECTIVE: This article provides instructions on how to reset or change a password in MatrixCare.
NOTE: If the user that needs a password updated is a Branch Admin or a Caregiver that uses the MatrixCare for Home Care mobile application, the password can be reset via the MatrixCare desktop program.

To update a password via desktop program (Branch Staff/Caregivers)
1. Open the MatrixCare desktop program and navigate to the Settings menu from the left menu panel.
2. Select User from the Settings drop down menu.
3. Search for the user's profile by clicking the Select drop down menu. Enter the Last Name, First Name, or User Name for the individual and click Find. Once you've found the correct individual, click Select.
4. Open the user's profile and navigate to the Security tab. Click Change Password.
5. A window will appear that prompts you to enter a new password. Enter Password1! in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
Share the new password with the user. The next time they login, they will use this temporary password and it will prompt them to create a new password upon entry.
To update a password via website (Caregiver to Reset Own Password)
If a caregiver is using the web version of MatrixCare and has access to their login, they can also reset their password within the website.
1. Log in to MatrixCare and click on the person icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
2. Click Manage Password. Enter the Current Password, New Password, and Confirm New Password.
3. Click Change Password to make the change.
