OBJECTIVE: This article provides instructions on how to use the Telephony option in MatrixCare to complete visits and track tasks.
NOTE: The mobile app is the preferred method for Home Care visits, but telephony can be used in cases of emergency.
Telephony call-in is a backup option, only to be used in the situation where the mobile app or other methods are not available. Telephony will allow you to check in and out and document Tasks from the client’s device, but you are not able to provide notes or submit expenses.

Checking In
- Ensure you are using the client’s phone and that their number is saved in MatrixCare.
- From the client’s home or mobile phone, call the Telephony Line: 1-855-756-9658.
- Enter your Soneto ID and press #.
- This is your MatrixCare ID, which the office can provide you if needed.
- Press 1 to document arrival / check-in time.
- Wait for the telephony response to say “Thank you, goodbye” and allow the phone line to disconnect on it’s own.
- Your response has been received. If you end the call early, your response will NOT be received.
Checking Out and Documenting Tasks
- Call the number again at the end of your shift to check out and provide Tasks: 1-855-756-9658.
- Enter your Soneto ID and press #.
- Press 2 to start the check out process.
- Press 1 to start documenting your first Task completed (use the list of Task ID's in the file linked below).
- Enter the Code # for your first Task and press #.
- Press 1 to start documenting your next Task completed.
- Repeat until all Tasks for that day are marked completed.
- Press 2 to complete the call and finish checking out.
- Wait for the telephony response to say “Thank you, goodbye” and allow the phone line to disconnect on it’s own.
