OBJECTIVE: This article provides instructions on how to reset your password in Okta without signing in.
If you forgot your password, you may reset it as follows:
- In your browser on your computer type your Okta sign-in URL, https://helpathome.okta.com.
- Enter your username in the box.
NOTE: If you don’t remember your username, please escalate to a support team member that can look it up. - Click Next.
- Select the Password option if you get this screen. If you do not see the Password option, click Forgot Password.
- Click Forgot Password if you haven't already.
- Select the Phone option to get a text message to the number you registered with.
- Click Receive a code via SMS to get a text. Phone call is also an option, if text messaging isn’t working. The system will call your phone on file.
NOTE: If your phone number is incorrect, please escalate to a support team member that can verify your identity and update the phone number for you. - Enter the 6-digit code and click Verify.
- Enter your new password. Select the Sign me out of all other devices checkbox to eliminate any issues if you have other browsers or apps open.
- Once your password is reset, you will be logged in and taken to the Okta dashboard.
